Aldworth Village Hall

The Aldworth Village Hall was officially opened on Saturday 12 March 2016 by Lord Iliffe. Designed by Owens Galliver Architects, it is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, overlooking the village recreation field and offers onsite parking for 20 cars, as well as a children’s playground just outside the hall.

The Aldworth village hall offers a large hall (approx 11.5m x 7m) that seats 72, with sprung floor, beautiful exposed beams and large windows giving great views onto the field; as well as a smaller meeting room (approx 6.2m x 4.5m), that seats 20 or that can be used as changing rooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen, toilets, disabled access and a shower. Tables and chairs are available for your use in the hall.

If required, the recreation field should be booked via The Bell Inn next door.

St Mary’s Church, only a 2 min walk away, is also available to use in conjunction with the hall, seating 100 people. It is a delightful little church, with lots of history (including its own giants), a kitchen and toilets.

Feedback from our hirers
“Just wanted to say that our reception at the Village hall on Friday was a great success. It really was the perfect venue for the occasion, especially the way it all opened up onto the cricket field, and of course the weather decided to behave itself! Thank you for allowing us to hire it; we did try to leave it in as pristine a condition as as we found it. ”    March 2018

“The Village Hall at Aldworth couldn’t have been a better venue for our humanist wedding celebration. A beautiful building and gorgeous setting. We managed to spend the whole day outside enjoying the space and having a festival wedding. Perfect. Thanks to the team at Aldworth.”  Helen Bolton – July 9th 2016

“The hall really is a wonderful venue, we can’t fault it!”Brilliant Beings

“Aldworth is a beautiful village and the new village hall, surrounded by gorgeous countryside, is a fantastic location for a birthday party with energetic children. We’ve had many happy parties in the old village hall and are sure the new one will be even better.”
We have attended many events at Aldworth Village Hall over the last 10 years, including the regular toddler group, children’s parties, barbecues and village fetes.  The hall is in a picturesque setting with lovely views across the tree lined recreation ground to the fields beyond.  We held our wedding reception on the recreation ground, hiring both a marquee and the old village hall and were lucky to have a beautiful summer’s day making it a perfect venue for a summer wedding.  The hall’s proximity to the neighbouring renowned Bell Inn was an added bonus for guests!  The recently built playground next to the hall is also a great place for children to play. The new hall will make it an even better venue for events and parties in a beautiful rural location.”
